Extend Hours of Learning and Create a Comprehensive After-School Program that Provides Wrap-Around Services for Every Student.
Jack will create strategic partnerships with non-profits, colleges, universities & community groups to give every child access to comprehensive after-school wrap-around services.
Convene College and University Presidents of the District’s Institutions of Higher Learning and Expand Partnerships with Public Schools.
Jack will establish an internship credit program for local college students who commit to involvement in the public school system.
Make Universal Pre-K a Reality in the District.
As Mayor, Jack is committed to providing every child with high-quality publicly funded education opportunities. To accomplish this goal, Jack will lower the entrance age of pre-K to two-years-old and provide assistance for the most successful programs to expand to accommodate the greater number of eligible children and decrease the wait-list time for all students.
Mandate that Each School Hire an Arts Teacher, Physical Education Instructor, Music Teacher, & Librarian who are Ready to Instruct & Inspire Students in the Arts and Encourage Physical Fitness.
As Mayor, Jack will ensure every child receives a well-rounded education.
